Daniel Nestor Tennis Centre Courts

The Daniel Nestor Tennis Centre will offer a variety of playing surfaces and activities. A total of four indoor clay courts, two hard courts and one hard court drill court will open the facility in 2011 for Phase 1. Four Har-Tru outdoor clay courts in the second phase alone with a potential of 10 total for future development. A clay court stadium seating over 1000 and Progressive Tennis hard courts for youth will complete the first three phases for completion in 2012.

Indoor Courts
Indoor courts will include both claytech and hard courts. Claytech is a product that has been around for many years in North America and Europe. The DNTC will be the first ever in Atlantic Canada. Deco-turf is the surface of choice for the Rogers Cup and we will be installing two hard courts for indoor play. Painted to simulate the Roger's Cup colours of blue and green.

Outdoor courts
During the summer months members can choose from numerous outdoor clay courts with all the fixings; benches for both sides of the court, score keeping devices, canopies and lots of room to play. Our courts are designed with cut corners and lots of space.

STADIUM Clay court
The first of its kind in Atlantic Canada will be our show court able to seat crowds large enough for finals events. No longer will we need to watch the action through chain link fencing. The clay stadium court will allow the club to host international events such as ATP Challengers. What better way to finsih off a local event that taking it to a stadium court. This court will be available to membes to play on all summer long.
